Over Easter weekend we had the chance to visit Dewberry Farms for the first time! It was the perfect springtime date to walk to the rows of tulips and enjoy the grounds. If you’re looking for a quick getaway for the weekend, it’s a little under 2 hours from Charlotte! Pack some charcuterie and have a picnic by the main house, stroll the farm and hang out with the cute animals!
You have to buy tickets beforehand so it’s not too crowded (something appreciated during covid). And bring your own bucket or bag to hold all of your tulips if you decide to cut them! You’ll also need to bring your own scissors/shovel if you plan on getting the bulbs, too.
I had no idea that Dewberry Farms Spring Tulips and festivals were something I could view in the southeast. Whenever I saw photos on Pinterest or Instagram, they seemed to primarily be in the pacific northwest! Our trip helped me realize I need to explore the hidden gems in North Carolina more. Now that the weather is better, I can imagine that our weekends will be filled with little adventures just like this! If I find anything exciting, I’ll definitely share our finds here. :)
Have you guys ever found a hidden gem near your city? Let me know!
