Who says sequins have to be confined to the holidays? Technically I styled this for Valentine’s Day, but I think sequins make any outfit fun! I snagged this skirt from Lulu’s and I adoooore it. I’ve been a fan of their stuff from afar but haven’t shopped there for myself until this year! My previous Valentine’s Day post features this satin pink dress from there too.
I chose to style the sequins with this fuzzy pink sweater to keep it a nice date night option in the winter. I used to be able to go out with a hot outfit when it was 30 degrees outside, but now I value comfort over everything!
For warmer weather options, tuck this lacy tank with your favorite heels. If you’ve paid attention, you’ve probably noticed that I wear these in basically every photo. They’re under $30, come in black, beige, and blush, and they’re comfortable! I hate using the word perfect pair of shoes, but this just might be close. Whether it’s a graphic tee or classic blouse, keep what’s happening up top to a minimum. The sequins already bring so much to your outfit.
This was my first time styling a sequin skirt like this and loved being out of my comfort zone!
P.S. Isn’t this mural the cutest?! Once I saw the new confetti hearts wall in Charlotte, I already knew it was going to be a blogger’s dream. Evelyn Henson did a fabulous job (you should check out the rest of her work here). If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by! It’s right behind Jeni’s Ice Cream in Uptown.
