Our Rehearsal Dinner at 5Church Atlanta

How to Plan Your Rehearsal Dinner

Can you blame me for taking a trip down memory lane for my Rehearsal Dinner? It was amazing! The Belks planned the evening with the help of our wedding planner, Shatila. She helped draft a list of venues close to our hotels, menu options, and transportation schedule. However, if you don’t have a planner in your budget, WeddingWire is a great resource! You can use their vendor tools to find everything you need for free! Planners can really help you figure out who to invite, the itinerary and all of the smaller details your somehow forgetting with so much going on.

I loved the way our rehearsal dinner turned out. After we had the Nigerian engagement ceremony the night before, it was nice to have a chill day in between. Because there was another wedding at our venue on Saturday night, we had the walkthrough around noon.  We also got our getaway car a day early since they were closed on Sundays, so Will got to drive a Rolls to dinner. I wasn’t sure he was going to give it back at the end of the night!

The rest of the day we took it easy before heading to dinner at 5Church Atlanta.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out any of their locations, you should! The service and the food were amazing. The manager even grabbed photos of Will and me from our wedding website to make a slide show for the guests.

Out of town guests, wedding party members, and close friends were invited for a total of about 40 people. We also took this time to make all of the speeches. My family is full of extroverts and having one person give a speech at my wedding would make room for wayyy too many people to step forward. Plus, the people at the dinner are probably the only people who really want to hear all of the sappy stories from family and friends.

After the Party is the After Party…

We topped off our magical evening at the rooftop bar at the W! Thanks to a friend who works there, we were able to score a table. I probably should’ve gone to bed sooner (whoops, lol) but it was so much fun! Just going to sleep that night and knowing that our wedding was the next day was the best feeling.

Thank you all for following along during this wedding journey!
