I get it. Sometimes culture can make labels look very attractive. I’ve been there too! There have been days when I see supermodel Gigi Hadid rocking the hottest new outfit off of the runway, only to cringe when I see the price. However, there are times when I find splurging on name brands can be worth it! I find quality over quantity to be a good rule of thumb. Sure, you can continue to buy clothes from Foreva 51 out of some remote city in Asia if you’d like. But you can’t complain when the stitching or material doesn’t last over a month. You get what you pay for.
On the other hand, there are times when you deserve to save those extra dollars ladies! If you think it’ll better your wardrobe, SPLURGE. If you work hard for that money, then in the words of Tom Haverford and Donna Meagle: “Treat Yo Self.” If you’re on the level of treating yourself with cookies rather than designer handbags, I have a few items I’d like to share! Here are some of my favorite finds and how you can save on the hottest accessories of the season!
You guys probably remember how much I love these scarves from a previous post of mine, but I had to share again! This accessory is such an essential piece of your fall/winter wardrobe. You can throw it on any neutral outfit to automatically give it a pop of color. We’ve all seen scarves where you wonder what’s the point of even wearing that small piece yarn around your neck. With blanket scarves, the extra material is guaranteed to keep your neck warm. But why spend more for the same quality accessory? The one on the right from ASOS, while an obsession, is more than I’m willing to pay for a scarf. Target has a similar one for only $23! As one of this year’s hottest trends, these over-sized pieces of goodness fly off the shelves no matter the price.
Also featured in a previous post of mine, this structured essential is modeled after the high-end ‘Celine ‘ bag. I have stalked, watched, tracked, and searched for all kinds of purses that looked similar to the original and I’m so happy that I found a dupe! Since I’ve purchased it, I have received nonstop compliments on it! There’s no greater feeling than saving over $3500 on an item.
If there’s even a 1% chance of rain, you’ll find campus filled with multiple pairs of these Hunter Rain Boots. Developed by a company in the United Kingdom, it’s smart to trust these people for their apparel design. The UK knows how to deal with continuous rain and their sleek appearance makes it easy to pair with outfits whether casual or cute. I recently was able to purchase a tall, black pair from a friend selling them for 50% off. Yeah, I jumped at the chance! Of course, one pair of boots is enough! Right? (Ha. Said no girl, ever) So if I ever decide to add to the collection, Target’s line will be my first choice!
