WOO! We made it to the double digits people! At this moment, Will and I have 93 days to go for our American wedding. They always tell you don’t stress when it comes to wedding planning, but I never imagined what it’s really like! However, I’ve never let it get to the point where I’m ungrateful for these moments. I get to plan a wedding with my best friend and celebrate with everyone I love! There’s literally nothing better.
Between grad school and living in a different state than my fiance and the venue, it’s hard to get stuff done. I’m SO thankful I have an amazing wedding planner (post to come) and a checklist through WeddingWire that keeps me sane! I love how with each check mark I can literally feel the endorphins flowing through my body LOL. It gives you a progress update and a distinct timeline of when you’re supposed to get things done! For example, the 2 to 3 months out category shares that’s when you need to create a wedding day timeline, send invitations, or schedule dress fittings. When you think about all of the things you have to do it almost makes you dizzy! The breakdown makes it a lot easier to process. You can make your own checklist here.
I’m excited for this weekend because we’ll be putting the final touches on the Nigerian food, hair and makeup trials (eek!!), my dress fittings and invitations. So basically after Sunday, we’ll be 75% of the way there. I just snagged these shoes for the big day and couldn’t be happier with my choice. Badgley Mischka is famous for its classic and elegant designs. I’ll reveal the actual pair after the wedding, but hopefully, this will help someone else searching too! Of course, I’m most excited about the food. The woman who is making the cake for our wedding also worked with Cardi B for her baby shower?! Shook. Can’t wait to share how it all unfolds!
