Hey friends! We’re in the busiest time of the year, but I’m happy to be taking breaks from a couple of gift guides to share about some of my favorite products. My skin has never been clearer than it has now and it’s all thanks to micellar water. Seriously. After years of advice from beauty blogs and estheticians, my skin stopped being disrespectful and is finally acting the way it’s supposed to! *insert praise dance here* What was the major change? Completely taking my makeup off.
Ok, ok. You’re probably like, “DUH, Tomi.” Everyone knows you’re supposed to take your makeup off before bed, right? Of course! And with my previous skin care routine, I was doing just that. However, there’s a right way and a wrong way to take off your makeup at night. “GIRL, WASH YO FACE!” isn’t just a trendy book title, it was the key to clearer skin.
Sometimes even washing with a high-grade facial cleanser won’t remove all of the makeup from your skin. Enter Garnier Skinactive Micellar Water. I use a couple of pumps to remove my foundation, concealer, and stubborn eye makeup before I wash my face at night and I glow like a newborn baby. What is Micellar Water anyway? It’s a gentle, yet hydrating solution that removes dirt and oil with a few swabs of cotton. The best thing about the Garnier Skinactive Micellar Water is that it can do all 3 in 1: Cleanse, remove makeup, and replenishes dry skin- which is so nice in the winter!
I also just added the Garnier SkinActive Facial Mist Spray with Rose Water to my rotation. Y’all. It smells HEAVENLY. After trying to get a bunch of shots for this blog post spraying it on my face, I was almost convinced I should start using it as an air freshener. 😂 The facial mist can work as a primer and setting spray, but I like to use it when I think my skin just needs a nice midday boost!
It’s no secret that Garnier has one of the best makeup removers in the game and I’m so happy I can share one of my favorite products with you! There’s a reason why I never let it run out. Ya girl has a heavy backup supply in her bathroom cabinet. 😏 If you want to try it out for yourself, head to Ulta and use the code: GRN2 to get $2 off! Fellow Garnier fans, unite and tell me which micellar water is your favorite below!
