SHOP MY AMAZON TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

Hello from 10,000 feet in the air! I’m on my way to Jamaica for the first time and figured this was the perfect opportunity to share a few Amazon travel essentials! Traveling is pretty much second nature to me. With a family that’s literally spread out across the globe, it’s hard not to feel wanderlust from an early age. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to 19 countries and counting, so you can say I’m a frequent flyer! I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it here before, but one of my goals is to visit 30 countries before 30. With only a few years left on this journey, I’ve got to get myself into gear!

As a seasoned traveler, I’ve found there are a few Amazon travel must-haves that I prefer over others. I’m all about creating a stress-free traveling experience and these items help with just that! No matter the length of the trip, these are the amazon travel faves I like to keep handy.

(And if you get inspired, check out my recent trips to Belize and Punta Cana, here!)

Amazon Travel Faves

Portable phone charger-

I’m sure this is a given for many, but it truly is a necessity! Instead of scrambling for a seat near a plug in the airport or worrying about your phone dying while exploring the streets abroad, pack one of these. The Anker Portable Phone Chargers are the best ones for travel. There’s a reason they have over 30K 5 star reviews! Travelers love them because they’re such high quality and don’t affect your phone battery. I know if I can’t find it before an international trip, it’ll be the first thing I purchase from Amazon Prime.

Handheld Garment Steamer-

In true millennial fashion, I don’t use an iron. In fact, I can’t tell you the last time I’ve even touched one. So while most Airbnbs and hotels, will provide an iron for you, it’s just not for me. And as a blogger who refuses to fold her clothes on time, my steamer is one of my prized possessions. I’ll go ahead and link the exact one I use, too! I’ve tried a few of the smaller ones that are marketed to be more portable, but they never seem to work just as effectively. Instead, I pack a heavy-duty handheld garment steamer to make sure my outfits are blog-ready the moment I land. Luckily, it’s still not too terribly inconvenient to pack along. Those linen outfits on the beach don’t hit the same when they’re covered in wrinkles!

Amazon Travel-Sized Toiletry Set-

If I can avoid checking a bag, I definitely will. In my 27 years of flying, I have yet to experience a lost bag situation. And I don’t plan on tempting fate! I’m obsessed with this TSA-approved toiletry set I grabbed from Amazon. It comes with containers for your soap, face wash, lotion, etc. I just fill each bottle to the top and keep it in the toiletry bag. Then whenever it’s time to head out for my next trip, I don’t have to worry!

Reusable Water Bottle-

Airport prices for food and drinks are a joke. Instead, pack along a reusable water bottle like this one and take advantage of their filtered water stations. I also like having them on flights so I don’t have to wait for a flight attendant to come by. Just make sure it’s empty before you go through security!

Packing Cubes + Organizers

I’ll admit I’m new to the packing cubes game. I’ve never really understood the necessity for sectioning off your luggage if it’s already organized. But for my last 2 trips, I’ve added a few to the packing routine. It certainly makes it easier for the return home and your laundry!

Sanitation Wipes | Amazon Travel Must-Haves

Do I even need to preface this one? Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, airports are dirty y’all! The amount of foot traffic planes and airport lounges deal with are just too difficult to keep up with from a sanitation perspective. I like to keep a pack of sanitation wipes in my personal item so it’s easy to access throughout the trip. Then I wipe down my armrests, tray tables, screens, seatbelts, and other high-contact surfaces.

These Wipeys are a fave because of how GOOD they smell. And they even have specific ones for your touch screen devices! But you can also add in a simple travel-sized pack from Wet Ones.

Travel Pillow-

a MUST-have for flights over 4 hours. Promise me, your neck will thank you. Perhaps it’s just because I’m getting older (or ya know, that whole MS thing and body discomfort). But if getting a solid nap in before you start your next adventure is important to you, this travel pillow is perfect.
