MIAMI INFLUENCER TRIP DETAILS

I had an absolute blast on my brand trip to Miami, Florida! About 5-6 years ago, I had previously gone to Miami with family and did not enjoy myself. So I was most excited about connecting with 9 other content creators for a week. But boy, was I wrong! The food was incredible, the hotels were gorgeous, and the ocean was a beautiful blue-green. It definitely made me excited to potentially return in the future when I have more time to explore!

PR TRIP vs. BRAND TRIP: What’s the Difference for Influencers?

There were a few differences between this brand trip and others (like Chambord for NYFW or Hyatt in the DR). Instead of one specific brand hosting the event, it was managed by Jessica Greenhalgh and her PR team. This PR company was responsible for putting together a list of different brand partnerships for our trip. Then, we essentially worked as models with on-site brand shoots while also highlighting some of the best things that Miami has to offer. Something that really made this trip special was the amount of diversity within our group. From different ethnic backgrounds to body types to sexuality I really felt like there was a lot of inclusive representation – which is not always the case on influencer trips.

Initially, I started this post as a recommendation for where to go while you’re in Miami. But truthfully, I don’t feel like I was able to see enough of the real Miami to make this a guidepost. I wasn’t able to enjoy authentic Cuban cuisine, visit tourist hot spots, or enjoy a true beach day. It was legitimately a work trip! But that doesn’t mean I didn’t have fun! So, please take all of these recommendations with a grain of salt or items I wish I could get to on my next trip to South Beach.

Where to Stay

Nautilus by Arlo Review

We stayed at the Nautilus by Arlo, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it without a few caveats. We had one influencer wind up with a flooded room, the locks on my room were initially broken, and the overall customer service was less than stellar. And if you aren’t lucky enough to grab the few “ocean view” hotel rooms, you’re basically stuck with concrete. As for the pros, it does have direct beach access! It’s also one of the more affordable options in Miami Beach and a great, walkable location to South Beach mainstays. If you’re not looking for the IG content of a luxury suite or need a pool reprieve after time at the beach, it could still be a good option for you.

Other hotels I’ll be checking out in the future-
