Shoes: c/o Steve Madden at Dillard’s
I’m excited to be partnering with Steve Madden today to share my love for my generation! I’ve been wearing Steve Madden shoes for years now, so I’m definitely #GenSteve! They’ve carried me through every stage of my millennial life with confidence and style. From “Madden Girl” platform shoes to my everyday work wear heels, it’s a go-to brand for quality footwear. Whether you’re Gen X, Y, Z or anything in between, you should be proud to be a part of your generation, too. We each have the unique circumstances that make us stronger as a group.
Millennials always seem to get a bad wrap these days. Self-serving. Lazy. Unmotivated. As one generation gets older, it’s inevitable that the next is always blamed for the world’s problems. Millennials are characterized as individuals born from the mid-1980’s to the late 2000’s. Also known as Gen Y, we’ve overcome everything from the 2008 financial crises to the death of Myspace (truly a dark time). Despite all of these setbacks, we rise to the occasion every time.
It’s amazing to see the cultural shifts we have been a part of! We’re entrepreneurs, culturally progressive, and we’re on track to be the most educated generation to date. As a blogger, I’m continually thankful that I have this avenue to connect with you and build my business! Without the work of millennials and our love of technology, my blog wouldn’t even exist.
Whether we’re working hard on the next big disruptive innovation or passionately debating the political status quo, you can’t deny we’re getting stuff done! With all of the apps and resources at our fingertips, it’s not a question of how we’ll create the next big thing, but when.
Fearless. Bold. We’re a force to be reckoned with.
I hope this empowers you to be the passionate millennial I know you are. The next time someone wants to talk badly about your generation, just remember that you control the ability to prove them wrong.
