SPRING is here at last. I was getting really tired of the cold weather. I mean, if I wanted to deal with sub-40 degree temperatures I would move back to New York. But once daylight savings time happened, I’ve felt like a brand new woman! Sometimes I feel like spring gives us a bigger reset button than January 1st. Anyone else feel this way? With this new beginning of weather and a bit more sun, I think it’s the perfect excuse to update your wardrobe and home to reflect the season!
Insert the gif of Miranda Priestly saying, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” But there’s nothing more spring than a fresh cut bouquet in your home! When I found out the flower market was happening in Greenville, I knew I had to shoot there. I also made sure to include floral patterns in my YouTube video on spring trends!
Perfect to wear long past Easter Sunday. Add these to your wardrobe for spring weddings and date nights.
Let a new fragrance freshen up your living space. Diffusers, candles, or even my go-to laundry detergent can do the trick. Kendra Scott just came out with new candles and I’m dying to try them! I’m also sharing a few of my must-have candles below.
I’ve talked about this before with the importance of self-care, but spring is the perfect to time get a fresh start. Use the birthday method on Facebook (check the birthdays every day and delete those you don’t feel comfortable messaging a lil HBD) to remove the clutter from your feed.
Loving this gingham dress I just grabbed from Red Dress Boutique for under $50! The pattern may resemble a picnic table, but it’s just too cute y’all! You’ll be the hottest picnic table in the place- the soccer moms are SHOOK. I’m also eyeing this yellow, gingham two-piece set from Revolve. And we know how I’m trying to add more of those to my closet this year!
From vitamins to beauty treatments, there are a few things I’m adding to my routine this spring. These natural vitamins have rave reviews and after sharing them on my Instagram stories, I’m excited to try them out! I’m also looking into joining a couple of workout classes. I’ve been avoiding them because my apartment has an expansive gym I can use for free, but it’s easier to get bored. I’m hoping that by adding in a class it might motivate me more! (we will see…..)
Whether you let Pinterest be your guide or an old family recipe, cook up something new this spring! It’s a fun date night idea and an easy way to be in charge of your health. If you follow me on the ‘gram (which if not, wyd fam) I’ve been raving about Hello Fresh on my stories! I promise this is #notsponsored, but they’ve really helped me get outside of my comfort zone when it comes to cooking and I love how easy everything is. You can get a discount by signing up for Hello Fresh here.
This is your friendly reminder. I’m so bad about this too, but your skin will thank you. Plus, have you seen this 1-min beauty blender cleaning hack that went viral on twitter? GAME. CHANGER.
The weather is too perfect not to appreciate the fresh air. Go on a hike or just a stroll through the park with friends this spring. I’ll be honest. My idea of time outdoors is anything with the least amount of bugs, but there’s a good view at the end that I’m down! If you’re in Greenville, message me on my Facebook page and let’s go!
Getting my hair done is an event in itself, so I don’t really like to take risks. However, with the summer coming up and an exciting cross-country move, I feel like now is a perfect time! Should I add highlights or go full curly? Let me know in the comments! If you’ve been dying to try out a new style, this is your sign. :)

I’d never heard of the “birthday method” on FB before now! Definitely a good way to weed out unnecessary friends on social media. Great post!
thanks Alexis! And yep. It’s a lifesaver
Love your ideas for spring and your outfit! I can’t get enough of floral prints right now. Especially because I live in Minnesota where winter never ends (it’s snowing right now)! I vote curly hair!
Thanks Allison! I think that curly hair is calling my name.. :)
Yes yes yes, bring me all the florals and pastels! You’re right about the sub-40s in NYC — it’s currently 32 degrees and a blizzard here!
