I debated about adding plants to my office. The benefits are undeniable! They improve air quality and reduce stress. Unfortunately, I don’t have a green thumb and have struggled with my fair share of “starter plants.” I happened to find this faux 82’ olive tree from QVC and couldn’t hit add to cart quickly enough. It’s exactly what I needed! It immediately gave the room new life and helped break up the neutral white panels.
It can be a struggle to find the best work-life balance. During the cooler months, I loved taking a moment to step outside and grab some fresh air in the middle of the workday. When you work in social media, you constantly have 3-5 devices that ALWAYS need to be charged. From phones to tablets to laptops to cameras, the cycle is never-ending. I’ve been thinking of adding in a charging mat from QVC as a way to stay on top of it! This mat is a QVC Big Deal marked down to $99.98 from a retail value of $149.99! Nothing is worse than trying to head out on shoot day and realizing none of your devices are charged up. Instead of fiddling around with various individual chargers, this seems way more efficient. Ideally, I can just come back from a shoot, lay the products on the mat, and retrieve them when I need them!
I am not kidding you when I say this device has been the single best technological investment I’ve made this year for my business. Despite our landlord selling us on the idea of gigabit internet, our WiFi was constantly struggling to keep up. Between my husband streaming downstairs and my Live Instagram skincare routines upstairs, it just wasn’t strong enough. You can even ask Nicole, my podcast co-host, how many recordings we had to postpone because of issues. We bought a mesh WiFi system and it works like a “booster” to your original signal. We placed a node in each corner of the house and the rest is history.
